13 going on 30
this is not a movie review. however, i would be making some comments every now and then
so, i saw it this afternoon. i was with my cool grandma who pushed me to watching a movie with her. she wanted to see THE NOTEBOOK but it was not shown in Greenhills theatre, and we were too lazy to go to another place, so we stuck ourselves in Greenhills to watch 13 going on 30 (and instead of the other movie in the place, anacondas.. YUCK! oh puhleeze!)
so i really wanted to see this since the time i had my vacation in the US. unfortunately i wasnt able to see it there. good thing, i saw it here! yehey! i like jennifer garner, looks like she's a tough ass chick! haha!
so as i entered the cinema, i saw a cute mix of scarce people watching. around 20 ppl inside the cinema. senior citizens just like my grandma, and youthfull souls just like me. but i dont mind whoever's around, im determined to concentrate on the movie.
and as the movie started rolling, sheesh! talk about going down the memory lane!!!! struck by almost every scene, and a good soundtrack, talk about dreaming....
the story is nice.... nice in such a way that you're gonna laugh and all. you're gonna feel what she feels, and feel in love with how the movie's going. jennifer garner was good! she portrayed innocence in the character. she was good in portraying a 13 year old trapped in a 30 year old person's body. how she drank her pina colada, how she danced thriller, how she talked to those girls in her sleepover.... it was with pure innocence....and with conviction... love her there! actually, have loved her since Alias...
the story is cute.... kiddie cute... rather maybe tweenie cute.... and so-so un-real! hehe! most especially the ending.... ugh! please! hope you stuck with reality! i thought the story went like she just and really forgot what happened to her life in between 13 and 30, but it ended as if she just dreamt of it! and she ended up marrying Matt.... isnt it its better if you've realized your faults but you tried to change it but it was not meant to be changed coz you cant turn back time. as a result, you just move on with life and live it the way you should.... stand up from all those things that happened and move on. but they ended it differently, in a manner that the tweens will like it, would want it to happen.
ok, so i dissed the ending again. but really that was the last thing i expected from the movie. i was oh so happy with how things were happening, though its breaking her heart, but you see, my point is reality is better.... though i know it started with an un-real thing.
the cast... their ok.... just ok...
the plot... ok.... just ok...
well realizations
i wanted to cry!!! a lot of the realizations she had made me want to cry!!!! but i cant elaborate it to you... i have to see it again to describe to you every detail... and i'll be waiting for the release of its home vid!
the OST is nice, CRAZY FOR YOU!!!! yes! made me fall in love again.... haha! thriller- remembered my uncle who loves michael jackson songs... panahon niya kasi!
i dunno what to say na.... i'll add more next time maybe... :)
